Hi, I'm Mark Mackin and Monument Financial Solutions is my Mortgage and Protection advice practice.

I have been advising on Financial Services ever since I graduated with a Master’s Degree in 1994, spending my first seven years working in the city as an adviser for a large financial consultancy. After starting a family in 1999, we decided to relocate and I have been advising on Mortgages and Protection ever since.

Running my own practice allows me to be flexible in a way that suites both me and my clients. I am able to provide, I believe, a more personal experience than you might experience dealing with a larger company. However, I always encourage new people to do their own due diligence, speak to some of my larger competitors and make your own decisions on who you choose as your adviser.

Importantly, the advice I give is impartial and I am not tied to any mortgage lender. I work in association with TRM, a national mortgage network, who back me with compliance support and continued training and development. This allows me to concentrate on advising you.

My final commitment to you is that I will not charge you any fees. I get paid by lenders and insurers in the same way that other advisers get paid through commission and I do not charge you directly for my services.
